The Dallas Jewish Historical Society Archive is bursting with primary documents, sound and audio recordings, photographs, cultural artifacts, and digital objects that illustrate the rich history of the Dallas Jewish Community from the 1800’s to today. We have multiple volunteering and internship opportunities for anyone with an interest in history, genealogy, video production/editing, social media/management, website enhancement, information/records management, or museum studies.
The positions vary based on required education, experience, and skill. Take a look at the descriptions for the positions listed below, and if you have skills or experience that you feel would help us fulfill our mission, please contact Archivist and Volunteer Director, Alexis Joanna Ferguson, for more information or to apply: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 214-239-7116.
Volunteers will receive a broad introduction to the archives, and will have the chance to assist on a variety of projects depending on abilities and interests. Volunteers must commit to serving at least 4 hours per week for a period of 3 months. Volunteer hours must be served in increments of no less than 2 hours. Initial project assignments will be made after an initial interview/consultation with the Volunteer Director.
Thank you for your interest in the Dallas Jewish Historical Society! Join us in preserving the past to ensure the future of this amazing collection!
