Robert Pollock

Robert Pollock was born and raised in Dallas, the son of two Dallas natives, giving his family deep roots in the city. In his interview he began his story with his father, who was born in 1892, and set out to trace his family history back as far as he knew it before turning to more recent generations and his own life.

Robert spent his life in Dallas, where his creative gifts found expression in his work as a sculptor. The available record describes him as a talented and creative man whose artistry became part of his contribution to the community around him.

Robert has had a great influence on the Dallas Jewish community. His oral history, recorded on June 23, 2014, with interviewer May Siebel, preserves his recollections of family and his connection to the city and community he called home.
