Dallas native Arthur Ungerman has been active in the Jewish community throughout his life, starting as a founding member of Henry Monsky AZA #791. Arthur, a practicing attorney shares his involvement with various congregations throughout Dallas.

Frances Coleman, the oldest of three sisters, was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Frances’s parents were originally from Poland. She attended Forest Avenue High School and later, Draughon School of Business. At age 18 she married Julius “Red” Coleman, who was stationed in Little Rock, Arkansas, as a medic in the war. Frances has been a very dedicated member of the Jewish Community with countless organizations. A past Vice President of Shearith Israel’s Sisterhood, Chairman of the Advanced Gifts Division for the Federation Women’s Division, Chairman of Israel Bonds for three years, the Jewish Community Center’s Woman of the Year, Frances has also had many other involvements and achievements. As a testament to their wonderful influence, Frances and her husband were honored at a tribute dinner at Congregation Shearith Israel.

Bella Pesso, born in Salonika, Greece in 1920, became a U.S. citizen in 1983 and resided in Dallas where she died in 2013.

Born and raised in South Dallas, Ruth Silvergold Levy has been an active Dallas Jewish community volunteer for many years, involved in Mizrachi and Shearith Israel Sisterhood.

Harrell Pailet was born in 1941 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Tulane University for his undergraduate years and also for law school. He and his wife, Marilyn, married towards the end of Harrell’s law school career. After completing law school, Harrell began his army service in 1964. Since his arrival in Dallas, he has served and supported the greater Dallas Jewish community as well. Inspired by the actions of his grandparents, parents, and in-laws, Harrell, a practicing attorney, has become a prominent supporter of many charities in Dallas and its Jewish community.
