Louis Tobian
Louis Tobian was interviewed by Rose Biderman on February 20, 1975.
Louis Tobian was born in Dallas, Texas in December 1888. When he was in his 20s, he left Dallas for his job in Galveston. When he came back to Dallas, he was asked to join Temple Emanu-El, where he has been heavily active in and has even held a leadership position at. He was the second president of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas and has been heavily engaged in civil matters in Dallas such as public housing and the creation of Hamilton Park. He was recognized for his work by the American Jewish Committee.
