Laureen’s parents got married in 1946 in Salisbury, Zimbabwe. While growing up, her mother used to work for International Correspondence schools and her father had a building & construction business. She went to Queen Elizabeth High School and then Salisbury Polytechnic which got her a job at a law firm later. She came to US in 1976 with 3 kids and her husband. She was brought up Presbyterian and converted to Judaism at Temple Shalom after her second marriage as her husband was Jewish.
